The Herts Senior Cup Final between Barnet and Stevenage Borough will be played at Underhill on Tuesday 12th April at 7.45pm after Barnet won by a toss of the coin to decide the venue. The Bees last won the trophy in 2007 defeating Hemel Hempstead Town 4-2 at the County Ground in Letchworth with Nicky Bailey holding up the trophy after the Bees’ victory.

Stevenage defeated Watford 2-0 at Broadhall Way in the 1st round before winning 4-0 at Hemel Hempstead Town in Round 2. In the quarter-final, Stevenage hammered Sawbridgeworth Town 6-0 away and reached the final by way of a 4-3 victory at Ware.

The Bees were awarded a bye in the 1st round and reached the quarter finals by winning 4-1 at Hadley, following a number of postponements, and a change of venue, due to bad weather. Ryan Scott, Mauro Vilhete, Charlie Stimson and Jamal Lowe were the Bees’ scorers.

In the quarter-finals, Barnet won 6-2 at Broxbourne Borough. Charlie Stimson scored twice with the other goals coming from Ryan Scott, Mauro Vilhete, Kofi Lockhart-Adams and Kwame JJ Adjeman-Pamboe.  A Mauro Vilhete goal in extra time at Cheshunt gave the Bees a 1-0 semi-final win and a place in this year’s County Cup Final for the first time in four years.
