Barnet's unbeaten home record this year came to an end with a 1-0 home defeat by Darlington who won the match with a goal from Pawal Abbott. Other results meant that the Bees remained in 20th place with 36 points from 38 matches.

Macclesfield Town started and finished the day in 19th place after they lost 2-1 at Dagenham & Redbridge. John Rooney put the Silkmen ahead but the Daggers won with goals from Paul Benson & Matt Ritchie. Macclesfield have 39 points from 39 games.

Bournemouth remain 20th after they lost 1-0 at promotion chasing Bury. Andy Morrell scored for the Shakers. Bournemouth have 34 points from 40 matches.

Grimsby Town won their second match on the spin and beat Aldershot 1-0 at home with a Barry Conlon penalty. They now have 33 points from 40 matches and are 3 points above the relegation zone.

Chester remain second from bottom after having extended their winless run to 18 matches. They drew 0-0 at home to Bradford City and have now just taken 6 points from their last 18 matches. They have 30 points from 40 matches and really need to start wining some games if they are to avoid the drop to the Blue Square Premier.

Bottom club, Luton Town won their third game in a row at Morecambe after going behind to a Stewart Drummond goal. Goals from Chris Martin and Kevin Gallen game the Hatters the three points which take them up to 22 points from 39 matches. However, Grimsby's win means that they remain 11 points away from safety and with games running out it would take an amazing run for Luton to stay in the league.
