Bournemouth go down 1-0 at Chesterfield

In tonight's League Two match between Chesterfield and Bournemouth, who are now only 5 points behind the Bees, Chesterfield won 1-0 with a first half Jack Lester goal. The Cherries remain five points behind Barnet and have played a game more. Barnet now have the chance to extend the points gap to 8 points by beating Bradford City at Underhill tomorrow.

Grimsby Town, who are ahead of Barnet on goal difference, have a difficult away match at Darlington, while struggling, Chester are at home to 7th placed Exeter City. The Grecians drew 2-2 away at Grimsby Town recently. Chester are two points above Barnet but have played two games more. Their midweek defeat at Shrewsbury was their sixth defeat in a row.

In the other League Two match played tonight, Lincoln City won 1-0 away at Port Vale. The two results leave Chesterfield still in 12th place, while Lincoln remain in 11th just a point ahead of them.
