The Bees have signed a real diamond in Andrew Hodge who has signed from Rushden & Diamonds ( See the joke works now ) Andrew is also an ex-West Ham United trainee who plays centre defence.
The Bees have also signed Aylesbury's Dean Cracknell the 21 year old right footed centre midfielder Crackers to his team mates is an ex Northampton Town and Stevenage Borough ( But don't worry he only made 1 appearance ) player.
Aylesbury United Football Clubs website said about Dean:
Classy midfielder who signed in Summer 2004 and quickly became a key member of the Ducks engine room. Almost the complete midfielder, he can create and score goals, has bags of ability, has enough tricks to beat his man, and is even a long throw specialist too!
A former Northampton Town trainee, he was rated as a good prospect before being released as part of a mass clearout in February 2004.
Paul Curtis tried to sign him back then, but he joined Stevenage Borough instead. Only managed one minute of First Team football for Boro, and signed for Aylesbury in Summer 2004.
Never afraid to shoot for goal, it was a surprise that it took him 5 games to find the back of the net. The strike when it came was more than worth the wait though - a superb strike against Hemel Hempstead Town.
Moved on in January 2005 having been offered the chance to join Conference leaders Barnet, but only after scoring a spectacular goal to help the Ducks beat Forest Green Rovers 2-1 three days earlier.
Both players are due to start tonight against Grays Athletic.
