The other Bee to have been released from his club recently is injury plagued midfielder Danny Brown who has been released from mid-table League 2 side Oxford United. Danny Brown signed for the Bees from Leyton Orient in 1999. He was an instant hit with the Bees fans and was said he could be the next big thing. But then the injuries came and he never really recovered. He became very poor in the 2002/2003 season and at some points not even knowing where the ball was!! In that season he only managed 12 appearances because of injuries, although he scored twice in that season against Halifax Town at the Shay in the Bees 4-2 win there when it looked like we might still have a chance in the play offs and in the 2-2 draw with Burton Albion where he scored the opening goal. That game will be remember for Moores handball to score Burton's second goal. He was released at the end of the season when new boss Martin Allen wanted to re-shuffle the team. Danny then went up a league to Coca-cola League 2 with Oxford United where he made 18 appearances in his two seasons at the club after playing 81 games for the Bees.
