In 1990/91, the two clubs were drawn together in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup at Braintree and two Roger Willis goals gave the Bees a 2-0 win.
Early in the 2013/14 season, Barnet won 3-0 against a Braintree side reduced to 9 men. Barnet's goals came from Keanu Marsh-Brown, Mark Byrne and Jake Hyde and the win put the Bees top of the Conference.
The two clubs then met in the penultimate game of the season and the game ended 1-1 with Marsh-Brown scoring a stunning goal for Barnet.
