In Barnet's Conference Campionship winning season of 2004/05 the Bees won 2-0 at Tamworth with Dean Sinclair and Giuliano Grazioli scoring for the Bees. Dwayne Lee was sent off in that game. Barnet were unbeaten in the Conference and top of the table. Just before Christmas that season, Tamworth grabbed a shock 3-0 win at Underhill . Former Bee, Matty Redmile gave an outstanding performance for the Lambs and Bees' defender, Simon King was sent off. The Barnet side that day was; Tynan; Hendon, Yakubu, King, Clist; Sinclair, Bailey, Lee (Elmes), Graham; Strevens (Batt), Grazioli

The previous season, 2003/04, Tamworth won 2-0 at home with two goals from Mark Cooper, but the Bees gained revenge later on in the season, Liam Hatch scoring the only goal of the game.

The two clubs first met back in 1975 when both clubs were in the Southern League Division One North. Barnet did the double over the Lambs, winning 2-1 at Underhill with goals from Ray Aggio and Finch. Two weeks later, the Bees won 4-3 at the Lamb, the Barnet goals coming from Blackaller, Kempson, Hamilton and Ray Aggio.
