Tomorrow, The Bees take on League One side, Gillingham in the 1st round of the FA Cup at Underhill. Gillingham have had a tough start to the season and are currently 19th in the table with 16 points from 15 games. They have recently had a change of manger with Mark Stimson leaving his job with Barnet's arch rivals, Stevenage Borough, to take up the post.

Barnet and Gillingham have met once before in the FA Cup, in a 4th qualifying round match in 1947 at Gillingham, the home side winning 3-1, Ron Phipps getting the Barnet goal. The last time the two sides met was in a pre season friendly just prior to Barnet's return to the football league in 2005 having won the Nationwide Conference title the previous season. Gillingham, who had been relegated from the Championship the previous season, won the match 3-0.

One special feature of tomorrow's game is the return of former Barnet players, Simon King and Barry Cogan who left Underhill in the summer. King was named player of the year last season and scored 3 goals in 167 appearances at the club after signing from Oxford United in 2003. Cogan scored 3 times in 45 matches for the Bees after joining the club last August from Millwall. Former Gillingham player manager, Andy Hessenthaler was also at Barnet last season before moving to Dover Athletic in the summer as player manager for The Ryman League club. In the Barnet squad for tomorrow will be Ashley Carew who was a scholarship player at Gillingham, while Lee Harrison played 2 matches on loan at Gillingham, from Charlton Athletic back in 1992.

Gillingham may be without top scorer, Chris Dickson tomorrow as the club are waiting to hear if they have permission to play him in FA Cup matches as he is on loan from Charlton Athletic. The Gillingham squad for tomorrow's game is; Simon Royce, Derek Stillie, Nicky Southall, Efe Sodje, Ian Cox, Simon King, Sean Clohessy, Duncan Jupp, Craig Armstrong, Marvin Hamilton, Tom Bryant, Mark Bentley, Andy Crofts, Aaron Brown, Barry Cogan, Steve Lomas, Craig Stone, Delroy Facey, Gary Mulligan, David Graham, Chris Dickson.

Barnet are hoping that skipper, Ismail Yakubu will be fit after his groin injury and can return to the centre of the defence. Apart from Yakubu, Liam Hatch and Json Norville are rated as 50/50 for tommorrow's game. Barnet's starting line up tomorrow may look something like this; Harrison; Devera, Yakubu, Burton, Gillet; Carew, Wright, Bishop, Puncheon; Birchall, Hatch.

Meanwhile another player who left Barnet last season, midfielder Dean Sinclair, has had his loan at Cheltenham Town, from Charlton Athletic, extended for another month. Bees' on-loan youngster from Charlton, Josh Wright is available for the cup tie tomorrow after getting permission from Alan Pardew. Wright's loan has been extended for another month.
