Easter Monday sees Barnet travel to play Macclesfield Town with Barnet fresh from 2 wins on the bounce at home and having jumped 5 places to 15th in the space of a week. Macclesfield are currently placed 22nd, just one place above the relegation zone, having lost 2-0 at Stockport County on Friday. Macclesfield are 5 points above mansfield but have played 2 games more and will be looking to win to move away from the bottom of the table.

Since returning to the Football League, Barnet have had a good record against the Silkmen having won three and drawn two of the five matches between the two sides. In 2005-06, a Nicky Bailey goal gave the Bees a win at Underhill and put Barnet, briefly, on top of League Two. In the return, just before Christmas at Moss Rose, another Nicky Bailey goal saw the Bees equalise late on in the game in a 1-1 draw.

Last season, Barnet completed the double against Macclesfield, winning 3-2 at Moss Rose in September with goals from Ian Hendon, Barry Cogan, his first for the club and, yes, Nicky Bailey. In January, an Adam Birchall effort proved to be the only goal of the game in the return at Underhill. Earlier this season, Barnet conceded two early goals in the match at Underhill, but came back to draw 2-2 with goals from Liam Hatch, his last for the club and Neal Bishop's first for the Bees.

Barnet have a number of injury problems before the match. Neil Bishop faces a late fitness test, but Ismail Yakubu and Rob Beckwith will miss out, while Cliff Akurang is likely to be out for up to three weeks. Ian Hendon will again be on the bench and he will be cover as goalkeeper for Lee Harrison.

For Macclesfield, striker, Martin Gritton could miss the game with either Michael Symes or Gareth Evans coming in to replace him.
