MATCH PREVIEW: Barnet v Dagenham & Redbridge

Last updated : 29 March 2013 By Jaybee

Barnet today take on Dagenham & Redbridge needing three points to move that little bit closer to League Two safety. A win today would take the Bees on to 47 points and leave them needing just another win in the last five matches to take them to 50 points, generally seen as the amount of points guaranteed to assure Football League status. The Daggers are not absolutely safe themselves on 47 points and just three places above the Bees. Indeed, a win for Barnet would take them level with Dagenham on points so it is clear that it is no end of season mid table game for our visitors either and they will be just as keyed up for today’s game either. The Bees will have to be at their best to win today.

Barnet could give a first start to CrystalPalace loanee, Kyle De Silva and are likely to have new signings, Keanu Marsh Brown and Michel Kuipers on the Bench. Dagenham may have former Bees’ captain, Jon Fortune in their squad and they too have strengthened their squad just before the end of the loan window with four signings; Spurs keeper, Jonathon Miles, QPR midfielder, Mo Sharif, LincolnCity defender Peter Gilbert and Fortune.

Until the end of the season, Barnet Mad will keep a close look at the bottom of the table and the battle for League Two safety. Below we give details of the run in for the bottom five clubs, including, of course the Bees. Two of our rivals are away today; Accrington at Wycombe and Aldershot at Rochdale and a win today for Barnet and defeats for those two sides could go a long way to helping Bees’ fans relax just a little after today!!
