MATCH PREVIEW: Crewe Alexandra

Last updated : 20 August 2010 By Jaybee

Tomorrow afternoon, Barnet travel to Gresty Road to play Crewe Alexandra in a League Two match. Neither side has yet won a league match so far this season. Barnet gained their first point of the season last Saturday with a goalless draw at home to Burton Albion, while Crewe went down 3-2 away at Cheltenham. Without a point yet, Crewe are second from bottom. However, while Barnet went out 3-0 away at Swansea, Crewe beat Championship club, Derby County 1-0 in the 1st round of the Carling Cup.

Barnet manager, mark Stimson has appealed to fans to be patient while the new look Barnet side gels together. Last Saturday’s side had eight new players in the side and Stimson stressed that expectations for the beginning of the season were unrealistically high and that the Bees’ side might need time before fans see the best of it.

Barnet will be without Joe Devera and Steve Kabba again and Stimson will have to decide on whether to play new loan signing, Phi Walsh from Dagenham & Redbridge up alongside Ricky Holmes or play with just one player up front. In Midfield, Rossi Jarvis is challenging Mark Hughes for a place in midfield.

Crewe striker, Calvin Zola is doubtful for tomorrow’s game and former Aldershot winger, Joel Grant, looks likely to be his replacement.

Barnet Mad predicts a draw tomorrow, like last season, perhaps 1-1.
