Barnet entertain newly promoted, York City at Underhill tomorrow after gaining their first point of the season in the 1-1 draw at home to Bristol Rovers. The Bees performance on Tuesday night was a big improvement over their 3-0 defeat at Port Vale with the defence, generally looking stronger with Barry Fuller and Jack Saville brought in and Mark Byrne and Curtis Weston giving the midfield a more competitive edge. However, up front, despite a good performance from Ricky Holmes, Barnet lacked a cutting edge.
Barnet have added former Arsenal and Hibernian goalkeeper, Graham Stack to the squad and his experience should be a help to Liam O’Brien and Sam Cowler but it would be hard on O’Brien if he is left out after his brilliant performance kept the Bees in the game on Tuesday.
Barnet face a York City side that have, like the Bees, taken just one point from the opening two league games. In midweek, York twice came back from being a goal down to grab a very good point at Morecambe after having lost on the opening day 3-1 at home to Wycombe.
