Goalkeepers:

Andy Oakes joined Darlington in the summer from Swansea City. He has also played for Bury, Walsall, Hull City and Derby County, for whom he played in the Premiership. League Appearances for Darlington: 7.

Nick Liversidge is a 19 year old goalkeeper who signed a one year deal for the club in May 2008.

Defenders:

Neil Austin joined the club in the summer from Barnsley. He made over 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club. League Appearances for Darlington: 41(7), Goals: 4.

Alan White joined the club in the summer from Notts County. A much travelled player in recent seasons he has made over 300 appearances in his career and has played for Luton Town, Boston United, Colchester, Leyton Orient and Middlesborough. Finished last season on loan at Peterborough. League Appearances for Darlington: 55, Goals: 3.

Stephen Foster signed in the summer from Scunthorpe. He is a very experienced defender who made 130 appearances for Doncaster Rovers and over 200 for Bristol Rovers. League Appearances for Darlington: 61, Goals: 2.

Ryan Valentine is in his second spell at the club having rejoined from Wrexham in the January transfer window. He has made over 150 appearances for Darlington, who he left in 2006 to join the Welsh club. League Appearances for Darlington: 172(15), Goals: 4.

Ian Miller recently made a permanent move to Feethams following a loan spell at the club. He was previously at Ipswich Town. League Appearances for Darlington: 26(15), Goals: 4.

Tim Ryan joined the club from Boston United in the 2007 January transfer window. A vastly experienced player, he has also played for Southport, Doncaster Rovers and Peterborough. League Appearances for Darlington: 23(1), Goals: 1.

Clayton Fortune was signed in June 2008 after being released by Leyton Orient. He began his career at Tottenham before moving to Bristol City where he made over 50 appearances in six years at the club. He also had a spell on loan at Port Vale. He joined Leyton Orient in 2006, but only managed 9 starts in s seasons at the club and had a further spell on loan at Port Vale. League Appearances for Darlington: 1.

Midfield:

Ricky Ravenhill joined the club on loan from Grimsby Town last January before making the move permanent shortly afterwards. He has also played for Chester, Barnsley and Doncaster for whom he made over 150 appearances. League Appearances for Darlington: 58(12), Goals: 6.Robin Hulbert joined Darlington after being released in the summer by Port Vale, for whom he made over 50 first team appearances. He began his career with Swindon Town and later played for Bristol City and Telford United. League Appearances for Darlington: 3(13), Goals:1.

Adam Griffin joined Darlington in July 2008 after being released by Stockport County. He helped County win promotion to League One in 2007/08 but was then released by the club in the summer. He joined Stockport in 2006 from Oldham and made nearly 100 appearances for Stockport. He has also played for Oxford United and Chester on loan. League Appearances for Darlington: 3(3).

David Poole joined Darlington in July 2008 after being released by Stockport County. He helped County win promotion to League One in 2007/08 but was then released by the club in the summer. He joined Stockport in 2006 from Yeovil Town. League Appearances for Darlington: 8(1).

Lewis Hardman is a 19 year old midfield player who signed a one year deal for the club in May 2008.

Michael Flynn is on loan from Huddersfield. He has played for a number of clubs, including Wigan, Gillingham and Blackpool. League Appearances for Darlington: 1.

Sebastien Carole joined Darlington from Leeds in 2008. He has played for West Ham and Brighton and French clubs, Monaco and Chateauroux. League Appearances for Darlington: 0(1).

Jason Kennedy signed for Darlington from Middlesbrough in May 2008 after having had a loan spell with the Quakers in 2007/08, making 15 appearances and scoring 3 goals. He also had a spell on loan at Scottish First Division club, Livingston last season. He made 7 first team appearances for Boro and was a member of the Middlesbrough youth side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2004. League Appearances for Darlington: 33(1), Goals: 5.

Robert Purdie joined in the summer from Hereford and was part of the Hereford side that won promotion via the play offs from the Conference in 2006. He made 112 starts for Hereford in 5 years scoring 26 goals. League Appearances for Darlington: 51(9), Goals: 3.

Franz Burgmeier has joined Darlington in August 2008 after being released by Swiss club, FC Basel. He has played 46 times for Liechtenstein, scoring 7 goals and can play left back and left midfield League Appearances for Darlington: 13(1), Goals: 2.

Strikers:

Gregg Blundell joined Darlington in the January 2007 transfer window from Chester City. He was previously at Doncaster Rovers where he helped them gain promotion tw seasons running from the Conference to League One. He is probably best known to Bees' fans from his time at Northwich Victoria for whom he scored 41 goals in little more than 2 years. He is currently on loan at Accrington. Adam Proudlock signed for Darlington in July 2008 after being released by Stockport County. He helped Stockport win promotion to League One, via the play-offs last season. He scored 16 goals in 2 years at Stockport. He has also played for Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town He is currently on loan at Grimsby Town League Appearances for Darlington: 3(5).

Pawal Abbott joined Darlington from Swansea in 2008 for £150,000. He was previously with Preston and Huddersfield. He scored nearly 50 league goals for Huddersfield. League Appearances for Darlington: 16(8), Goals: 9.

Billy Clarke is on loan from Ipswich Town. He has previously been on loan with Colchester and Falkirk. League Appearances for Darlington: 16(1), Goals: 8.

Richie Foran is on loan from Southend. He has played with Carlisle, Motherwell, Shelbourne and Oxford United. League Appearances for Darlington: 15(2), Goals: 5.

Liam Hatch joined Darlington in 2008 on loan from Peterborough United. He began his career at Gravesend & Northfleet (now Ebbsfleet), before joining Barnet in the summer of 2003. He made 97 league starts and a further 47 appearances as a substitute for the Bees, scoring 25 league goals and he was part of the Barnet team that won the Conference title in 2005.
