Barnet FC today issued their retained list and Martin Allen has decided to contract the following players; Graham Stack, Andy Yiadom, David Stephens, ElliottJohnson, Luke Gambin, Luisma Villa, Iffy Allen and George Sykes.
Keanu Marsh-Brown, Jamal Lowe and Jake Hyde have been transfer listed, while Allen still has to decide on the future of Mauro Vilhete and talks are still on going with Curtis Weston and Mark Byrne. Barnet have a year’s option on Vilhete, while Byrne and Weston are out of contract.
Jake Hyde is to be offered a new one year contract but as he has said that he would like to play at a higher level, he is being transfer listed and the club will let him go if a club will come in with the right offer. Barnet appear to want to cash in on Marsh-Brown as the club feel that he could play at League One level and Allen could use any transfer fee to strengthen the side.
Nick Jupp, Freddie Warren, Ahmed Abdulla and Harry Crawford have been released. This is in addition to the recent release of first, Roberto Casabella, Marciano Mengerink and Kieron Cadogan and, more recently, Jon Nurse, James Harper and Jack Saville. The latter three have been invited back for pre-season training with the club. Allen has also stated that he is ‘undecided’ about Warren.
Loan players, Conor Dymond, Alex Peteson, Sam Muggleton and Dani Lopez have all returned to their parent clubs. Barnet Mad will look at more detail at the season just finished and pay tribute to the players who have departed. Meanwhile, Barnet Mad wishes all the best to all the players who have left the club.
