Barnet V Dag Red at Underhill Stadium - Match Preview

Davids boost for Bees

Edgar Davids is back from suspension for Barnet's home game against Dagenham.

The Bees' player-head coach has completed a two-match ban for his red card against Accrington a fortnight ago and should step straight back into the midfield.

Teenage forward Kyle De Silva could make his full debut having looked lively as a substitute in the goalless draw with Cheltenham last weekend following his loan switch from Crystal Palace.

On-loan Watford midfielder Ross Jenkins and top scorer Jake Hyde returned from illness as subs against the Robins and are also pushing for starts.

Steve Kabba remains sidelined by a knee problem and fellow striker Ricky Holmes is out for the rest of the season due to a foot injury.

Dagenham could hand debuts to as many as five new faces.

Interim boss Wayne Burnett was one of the busier managers on Thursday ahead of the closure of the loan window, bringing in goalkeeper Jonathan Miles from Tottenham, defender Peter Gilbert from Lincoln and Mo Sharif from QPR.

Former Charlton defender Jonathan Fortune, a free agent, was also added on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The quartet followed the arrival of Barnsley winger Toni Silva on a month-long loan deal earlier this week - with all five in contention to feature at Underhill.

Miles is set to start between the sticks, with Chris Lewington a major doubt with the back injury which forced him off in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Fleetwood.
