Manager, Paul Fairclough is looking forward to the daunting prospect of matches against promotion challengers, MK Dons, Peterborough, Darlington and Hereford. "We have a great January ahead of us. We've now got to switch off the FA Cup and get our focus back on to the league", said the Bees manager in the Barnet Times this week.

Fairclough added that "When you're involved in the cup, you usually slip a few places down the table and we have some catching up to do."

Meanwhile, striker Adam Birchall is hoping to start against MK Dons after his terrific equaliser in last Saturday's FA Cup tie at Swindon. "Hopefully I've done enough to start, but if not, I'll be happy to come off the bench and do it again." Birchall added that "It was my best pro goal ever."

Commenting on Birchall's goal, Fairclough said that "It was a great goal, a brilliant strike. His first touch to take the ball down from the long kick was magnificent. They will be showing that on Match of the Day many times."

The Barnet manager added that "It was a fantastic team performance and thoroughly deserved. There looked like only one winner in the end. We got our goal and then could have gone on and won it."
