Gash signs new deal

Barnet striker, Michael Gash has signed a new contract with the club which will keep him at the Hive for at least another season. Gash, who scored 3 goals in 15 appearances for the club last season , was signed from Kidderminster Harriers in January.

Gash began his career at Cambridge City before moving across the City to United in 2006. In 2008, he joined Ebbsfleet and scored13 goals in 45 games and then moved to York City for £40,000 in 2009. While at York, he had a loan spell at Rushden & Diamonds and scored 7 goals for the Yorkshire club in 56 appearances before re-joining Cambridge United in 2011.

Back at the Abbey Stadium, Gash scored 20 goals in 69 appearances and had a brief loan spell at Braintree before moving to Kidderminster in July 2013, having also had a loan spell at Aggborough at the end of the 2012/13 season. Gash made 70 appearances for Kiddy scoring 24 goals before being loaned out to Nuneaton Town as part of the club's financial cut backs. He scored one goal in 11 matches before being released by Kidderminster and joining Barnet and playing a significant role in Barnet's promotion back to League Two at the end of the season.
