Barnet have announced that Giuliano Grazioli and Sagi Burton have been released by manager, Paul Fairclough on free transfers. Grazioli joined the club from Bristol Rovers in 2003 and was a major force in Barnet winning promotion to the league two years later. An appreciation of Grazioli and a resume of his career will appear on this site shortly.

Sagi Burton was signed last summer from Shrewsbury Town. He made 33 appearances, including 1 as a substitute and scored 1 goal, at home to Accrington Stanley. Sagi began his career at Crystal Palace and also played for Colchester, Crewe, Port Vale and Peterborough, where he played over 100 times for the Posh.

Meanwhile, the Bees' 1-0 defeat at the weekend at Rotherham meant they finished the season in 12th place and gained a top half finish to the season. It was the 5th season in a row that the club have improved their final position, having finished 11th in the Conference in 2003.

Joe Devera was voted the fans' player of the year and also came out on top in the most improved player of the season category. Josh Wright won the award for young player of the year, while Jason Puncheon's goal at home to Bradford City won the goal of the season award. Kenny Gillet was voted young player of the year by Barnet's young fans.
