Graz wants new deal.

Giuliano is hoping that his 28 goals this season are enough to earn him a new deal he told BBC Sport:

"I'm going to see the chairman and get myself some security for the next couple of years," he told BBC Sport.

"I've got a year left on my contract. I'm a local boy. We all want to play higher but I'm very, very happy."

Im sure Tony would be very happy to give him a new deal! He is one of our best players and is top of the Nationwide Conference scoring charts by 8 goals. Giuliano got his 28th goal of the season in the 3-1 win against Halifax Town which gave the Bees promotion to Football League.

Graz still has 1 year to run on his contract. He signed a deal until June 2006 in March last year. He signed in the Durham Suite just before Martin "traitor" Allen  had his famous Q&A and then left a week later.

He said on the Morecambe game:

"I'd like to finish off with the golden boot. My main aim at the start of the season was promotion and I've got that.

"I'm eight goals clear at the top and I'd like to keep it that way and make it a sort of personal double.

"I'd love to get 30 goals. Strikers always set targets and you look for 20 and then to get 25 is great, but to be near the 30 mark is brilliant and would finish my season off. I might even retire after that!"

On League 2:

"We've got a lot of players who I don't think realise how well they've done," he said.

"They are only 18 or 19 years old and to win the championship at such a young age is great and they've got great futures ahead of them.

"It's exciting and it'll be a fresh challenge for these boys.

"It's been a long, hard season but already we're looking to next year.

"From a personal point of view I'm not worried about going back in the League. I've scored goals wherever I have been. I'm just one of those lucky centre forwards who seems to be in the right place.

"I've done it at that level before and I'm expecting to do it next season as well.

"With the side we have and how we've played this year I expect us to do reasonably well. But we've been lucky with injuries and suspensions so whether or not next year will be harder, the league is more physical and it may depend on the size of our squad.

"The chairman realises that and I think he's not happy with struggling next year - I think he wants to kick on and he's ambitious like we are."

On his 2 seasons at Barnet:

"It's been a big year for me," he said. "I turned 30, I'm getting married this summer, I've won a championship and I want the golden boot. Hopefully the lottery is next."

There is one wish that has not come true this year, and it could be a key part of any contract negotiations with Barnet, whose ground is used by Arsenal's reserves.

"I'm a big Gunners fan and still go to all the games when we're not playing," he explained. "I'm on the waiting list for a season ticket and I've got to try and speak to my chairman and get him to get me further up that list."

Well, i'm sure Graz will soon be signing a new deal. As he has said many times in the NLP and other press. And im sure the players, fans and staff at the club will be very happy for him to stay! We all believe Graz can get those 2 extra goals and make 30 goals and the golden boot!!!

Roll on League 2!
