After weeks of negotiations between Tony k and Paul Fairclough has ended with 20 year old Simon King putting pen to paper on a new deal 'I am more then happy to stay. The club is moving forward with a blend of youth and experience and my ambition is to get the club back backing in to football league with Barnet winning matches and gaining promotion.
Simon joined in the summer of 2003 from Oxford United as a left back but is now playing in the centre back role. Simon Also scored the winner for the Bees against Aldershot on Saturday. 'Its a real statement by Simon King of his belief in the club that he has signed for the foreseeable future we are absolutely delighted" said Bees manager Paul Fairclough.
Many Premiership and football league scouts have been watching King in recent weeks but Simon signing a new contract should put an end to that. The duration of the contract has not yet been confirmed but it is rumoured to be a 2 year extension to his current deal that would mean he would leave the club in June 2006.
