Points are hard to come by in this league and every point you gain, you really have to work hard for. Torquay today were as good as anyone we have played this season and on that performance, they do not deserve to be where they are.
Today, it wasn't a classic Barnet performance but it was a clean sheet, three points and for once we ground out a 1-0 victory, which is what other teams have been doing to us all season and now it's our turn to start doing that.
Apart from one shot in the first half, Ross Flitney has not had to make a save and I would say it was probably the same for their keeper who did not have a lot to do. As I have said though, it is so difficult to get points in this league and we've now got seven points from the last three games and whatever way you look at it, that is good form.
We are a team in a transitional phase at the moment where the confidence is not quite there but the way the lads stuck together and stuck to the task to bring home the victory was superb.
The discipline of the younger players, like the Nicky Baileys and Dean Sinclairs who would really like to go and play and show everyone what they can do further forward but instead were disciplined and stuck to their jobs, was a very pleasing aspect.
I was disappointed with the penalty award but what we have to do is look at why it came about in the first place. We look at root causes and we didn't press the ball. We have got so many aspects of our game that we need to improve but we are getting there which is the good thing.
I didn't play Jason Norville today because I felt he doesn't get enough shots away and that includes in training but when he came on he got three shots away straight away. We said to him that if he wants to get into the team then he needs to shoot and when he came on today he did really well for us.
The penalty miss was significant, had we scored that then I feel we would have gone on to win.
I changed it to 4 - 4 - 2 in the second half and we created lots of openings but didn't finish it off when it counted.
A decent performance and one we will build on but a disappointing result"
