Ians contract with now end in 2007. Ian is a very important player to this team even though some supporters will not agree. He is a great leader of the side and a great Right back and was one of the best players in the Nationwide Conference and will also be one of the best in League 2. Ian signed for the first time on-loan in 2003 from Sheffield W when Peter Shreeves was incharge of the team. He scored for the Bees during his loan spell in the 2-1 defeat against Doncaster Rovers. He then left the club but returned when Martin Allen Peters replacement and number 2 when he was at the club signed Ian as his first signing.

Ian spoke to the Barnet FC official website this afternoon saying:
"This is a proper football club .... a family ... everyone is made welcome. I am delighted to sign again and I think I am probably going to be at Underhill until the end of my career.

"The gaffer (Paul Fairclough) has rejuvenated me. I have never worked with anyone with progressive ideas on football like he has - it was a nice change after the previous season.

Ian put pen to paper this afternoon after a meeting with Chairman Tony Kleanthous and manager Paul Fairclough.

"The chairman is top man in my eyes and the fans are brilliant. The staff are all great and it has been quite easy this year with everyone working in the same direction to the same goal.
