Yakabu New Team Captain for New Season

Ismail Yakabu, the 22 year old central defender, is the new captain of Barnet. Yakabu, who has made 191 appearances for the club, made his debut at 17 against Stevenage Borough at Broadhall Way in the 2001/02 Conference campaign. Yakabu joined the club as an 11 Year old.

New signing from Shrewsbury, central defender, Sagi Burton who made 41 appearances last season for the Shropshire side, is named vice-captain, with Lee Harrison having already been made club captain.

Meanwhile, French left back Kenny Gillet who has been on trial with the Bees, has turned down an initial offer from Paul Fairclough, who will have more talks with the Caen player who impressed against St.Albans City and Watford.
