Macclesfield Town are managed by former Barnet player and Lincoln City and Peterborough manager, Keith Alexander. He replaced Ian Brightwell as manager.

Now a look at the Macclesfield players:

Goalkeepers:

Jonny Brain joined Macclesfield in 2006 from Port Vale, while Tommy Lee has joined Rochdale on loan.

Defenders:

Sean Hessey is a former Blackpool, Huddersfield and Kilmarnock player who is on a season's loan from Chester.

Richard Walker is a former Crewe player who joined last year from Port Vale.

Ryan Creswell is on loan from Sheffield United and has had loan experience this season with Morecambe and Rotherham.

Neil Ashton is a former Tranmere player who is on loan from Shrewsbury Town

Luke Dimech is a Maltese international, who signed from Maltese club, Marsaxlokk. He has also played for Chester and Mansfield Town.

James Jennings is a young defender who made his debut last season and has also had first team experience on loan at Altrincham.

Shaun Brisley is another young defender who made his debut this season and has made four starts for the first team.

Midfield:

Jamie Tolley made over 200 appearances for Shrewsbury Town, helping them to win promotion from the Conference in 2004, before moving to Macclesfield Town in 2006.

Danny Thomas signed in the summer after short term spells last season with Hereford United and Shrewsbury. Thomas has also played for Bournemouth and Boston United.

Levi Reid is another former Port Vale player, who was at Stafford rangers last season. He scored his first goal for Macclesfield at Underhill in December.

Terry Dunfield is a former Bury player who was out of the game for two years with a serious injury before joining Macclesfield in the summer.

Izak Reid is a young midfield player who made his debut last season and is the brother of Levi.

James Ashmore signed on loan from Sheffield United in the January transfer window.

Strikers:

Francis Green has scored 10 goals this season for Macclesfield. He signed in the summer from Boston United and has also played for Lincoln City and Peterborough, having played over 100 times for both those clubs.

Martin Gritton, who has scored 9 goals this season, was signed in the summer from Lincoln City. Gritton is an experienced striker and has also played for Grimsby, Torquay, Plymouth and Yeovil and had a spell on loan at Mansfield last season.

Michael Symes is a former Bradford City player who is on loan from Shrewsbury Town.

Gareth Evans is a young striker who has broke into the side this season with 35 appearances, including those as substitute and has scored 5 goals.
