THE OPPOSITION: Lincoln City

Goalkeepers:

Rob Burch began his career at Tottenham where he played for the England under 20 side. He went on loan to Woking and Stevenage to get some first team experience and was an unused substitute in loan spells at West Ham and Bristol City. In 2007, he went on loan to Barnet making his debut in the 1-1 away draw at Notts County and impressed the Bees fans in his short stay at Underhill where he made 6 appearances for the club. He was released by Tottenham at the end of that season and joined Sheffield Wednesday, but only made 3 first team appearances for the Owls and was released at the end of 2007/08. He joined Lincoln in July 2008. League Appearances for Lincoln: 68.

Paul Musselwhite joined Lincoln in the summer of 2009 from Gateshead as cover for Rob Burch. Musselwhite started his career at Portsmouth before joining Scunthorpe in 1988 and making over 100 league appearances for the Irons. He joined Port Vale for £20,000 in 1992 and went on to make over 350 first team appearnces for Vale in 8 years at the club. He spent four years at Hull City making 100 first team appearnces for the Tigers before a second spell at Scunthorpe United. After being released in 2006, he has subsequently had spells at Eastleigh, Kettering, Port Vale, for a second time, and Gateshead.

Defenders:

Adam Watts arrived on loan from Fulham this season having had loan spells at MK Dons and Northampton. League Appearances for Lincoln: 10.

Paul Green is a 20 year old who signed in the 2007 January transfer window from Aston Villa. League Appearances for Lincoln: 84(4), Goals: 3.

Janos Kovacs signed for the Imps in June 2008, after refusing a new contract at Chesterfield. He joined Chesterfield in the summer of 2005 from Hungarian side, MTK, but only became a first team regular last season. He made over 50 appearances for the Spireites, scoring 2 goals. He had a spell on loan at York City in 2006/07. League Appearances for Lincoln: 59, Goals: 4.

Moses Swaibu began his career at Crystal Palace but was released by them in the summer of 2008. He was on loan last season at Weymouth and joined Lincoln in January 2009. League Appearances for Lincoln: 25(2).

Nathan Baker joined the club this season on loan from Aston Villa. League Appearances for Lincoln: 7.

Ian Pearce joined Lincoln as assistant manager to Chris Sutton in October and was also registered by Lincoln as a player. He began his career at Chelsea and made a handful of first team appearances at Stamford Bridge before joining Blackburn in 1993 for £300,000. He joined West Ham in 1997 for £2.3 and went on to make over 150 first team appearances in his seven year stay with the Hammers. In 2004, he joined Fulham and had a short spell on loan at Southampton before being released in 2008. League Appearances for Lincoln: 0(3).

Daniel Hone is a product of the youth system at Lincoln and was voted joint young player of the year with Lenell John-Lewis last season. He made his debut last season. League Appearances for Lincoln: 44(5), Goals: 2.

Eric Lichaj is a young American player on loan from Aston Villa. League Appearances for Lincoln: 10.

Midfield:

Chris Herd joined the club this season from Aston Villa. He has had loan spells at Port Vale and Wycombe. League Appearances for Lincoln: 4, Goals: 1.

Cian Hughton joined the club in the summer of 2009 after being released by Tottenham. E is the son of Newcastle United manager, Chris Hughton. League Appearances for Lincoln: 19, Goals: 1.

Michael Gordon is a former Aldershot and Wimbledon player who joined the Imps this season. League Appearances for Lincoln: 4.

Richard Butcher re-joined Lincoln from Notts County in May 2009. It is his third spell at the club having originally signed for the Imps in 2002 from Kettering. He left in 2005 to join Oldham but had a short spell back at Sincel Bank later that year. He joined Peterborough in 2006 before moving to Notts County a year later. League Appearances for Lincoln: 109(11), Goals: 12.

Aaron Brown began his career at Bristol City where he made over 150 appearances for City, scoring 12 goals. He had loan spells at Exeter, Torquay, Cheltenham and Swindon, plus a short spell at QPR, before joining Swindon in 2006 and then moving to Gillingham the following year. He made 14 starts for Gillingham last season, plus 1 appearance as a substitute and scored 2 goals. He joined Lincoln in June 2008. League Appearances for Lincoln: 47(9), Goals: 2.

Scott Kerr joined City in 2005 from Conference side, Scarborough where he played for the England National Game XI managed by Paul Fairclough. Kerr was rumoured to be a target for Barnet. Kerr has also played for Hull City and Bradford City. League Appearances for Lincoln: 177(6), Goals: 8.

Shane Clarke is a product of the youth system who made his debut last season for the Imps. League Appearances for Lincoln: 38(18).

Khano Smith is a young Bermudan player who made his first team debut for the Imps this season. League Appearances for Lincoln: 4(1).

Stefan Oakes joined the club from Lincoln City in July 2008. He was previously at Notts County and Leicester City and joined Wycombe two years ago and played a big part in last season's Carling Cup run to the semi finals scoring twice. He joined Wycombe in 2005 and has made over 100 appearances for Wycombe, scoring 9 goals. He made 25 league starts, for Wycombe, last season, with another 11 as a substitute and scored 3 goals. League Appearances for Lincoln: 29(12), Goals: 1.

Clark Keltie joined Lincoln this week after being released by Rochdale in December. He has had loan spells this season with Chester and Gateshead. He joined Rochdale from darlington in 2008 after making over 150 first team appearances for Darlington.

Strikers:

Delroy Facey is a very experienced player who has played for a number of clubs including Huddersfield Town, Bolton, WBA, Oldham, Tranmere, Gillingham and Rotherham. He is on loan from Notts County. League Appearances for Lincoln: 4, Goals; 1.

Paul Connor joined Lincoln in the summer of 2009. A very experienced striker, Connor was released at the end of last season by Cheltenham Town. He began his career at Middlesbrough but spent some of his time there on loan at Gateshead, Hartlepool and Stoke joining the Potters in 1999. In 2001, he joined Rochdale for £150,000 and scored 29 league goals for them before moving to Swansea in 2004. He joined Leyton Orient two years alter and joined Cheltenham in 2007. Lenell John-Lewis is an 18 year old who has come up through the youth ranks at Sincil Bank. League Appearances for Lincoln: 41(18), Goals: 7.

Chris Fagan joined Lincoln in June 2009. He was released by Manchester United in 2008 and then spent time at the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain. He is an Irish under 21 International. League Appearances for Lincoln: 10(3), Goals: 3.

Jamie Clarke joined Lincoln from Blackburn in June 2009. He had loan spells at Accrington and Rotherham last season. League Appearances for Lincoln: 14(6), Goals: 1.
