Fraser McLachlan began his career at Stockport County and made over 50 appearances for County, scoring 4 goals. While at Edgeley Park, he went on loan to Northwich Victoria and Mansfield Town, who he joined permanently in 2005. He joined Morecambe in July 2006 after a short spell on loan.
