Russell Hoult signed for Notts County in July 2008. He had a spell on loan at Meadow Lane last season. He began his career at Leicester and had loan spells with Lincoln, Blackpool, Bolton and Derby before signing for the Rams in 1995 for £200,000. He made over 100 appearances for Derby before moving to Portsmouth in 2000 for £300,000. Less than a year later he moved to WBA for £450,000 and he was at the Hawthorns for 6 years, making over 200 appearances for them. Phil Picken is on loan from Chesterfield. Picken joined Chesterfield in 2006 from Manchester United after having had a long spell on loan at Saltergate the previous season. Jamie Clapham started his career at Tottenham but joined Ipswich Town in 1998 for £300,000 and made over 200 appearances for the Tractor Boys before joining Birmingham in 2003 for £1.3. He later played for Wolves and Leicester and had a loan spell with Leeds last season. He joined County in 2008. Notts County League Appearances: 23. Goals: 1.
Adam Tann signed in the summer of 2007 from Leyton Orient after helping them win promotion to League One Notts County League Appearances: 48(3), Goals: 1.
Stephen Hunt came from Colchester United, in 2006, where he found it hard to get into the first team. Notts County League Appearances: 63(11), Goals: 3.
Mike Edwards is in his fourth season with the club having made over 100 appearances for County since signing from Grimsby Town. He was previously with Colchester and Hull City. Notts County League Appearances: 143(4), Goals: 12.
Michael Johnson joined the club on loan from Derby County until the end of last season. Richard Butcher is a former Lincoln City player, signed in the summer of 2007 from Peterborough, who has scored 12 goals for County in 2007/08. Notts County League Appearances: 64, Goals:17.
Myles Weston was signed in the summer of 2007 from Charlton Athletic following a short loan spell at Meadow Lane last season. Notts County League Appearances: 42(14), Goals: 2.
Adam Nowland was signed in June 2008. He began his career at Blackpool, before having spells at MK Dons and West Ham. He moved to Nottm Forest in 2004 for £250,000, but only played a handful of games for them before moving to Preston, a year later. He was only a fringe player at Deepdale and went on loan to Gillingham and Stockport before being released in 2008. Notts County League Appearances: 13(4).

PLAYER TO WATCH
Jamie Forrester moved to Notts County in June 2008 after failing to agree terms with Lincoln. He began his career at French club, Auxerre before moving to Leeds United in in 1992. He only made a handful of appearances at Elland Road in 3 years at the club and had spells on loan at Southend United and Grimsby Town, before signing for the Mariners in 1995 on a free transfer. In 1997, he joined Scunthorpe and scored 43 goals in over 100 appearances for the Lincolnshire club before joining Dutch club, FC Utrecht. He was there a year, but failed to make his mark and was loaned out to Walsall and Northampton and joined the Cobblers in 2000 for £150,000. In nearly 3 years at Northampton, he scored 50 goals in over 100 appearances for the club before moving on to Hull City and then Bristol Rovers. He joined Lincoln in July 2006 following a short spell there on loan and scored 35 league goals in 90 league appearances for the Imps, including 12 last season. In October 2006, he scored a hat trick against Barnet in Lincoln's 5-0 win at Underhill. Notts County League Appearances: 22(1), Goals: 8.
