Lee Collins joined Vale on a six months loan from Wolves in August 2008. He was on loan at Hereford United last season making 20 appearances for the Bulls. League appearances for Port Vale: 38, Goals: 1.

John McCombe signed for Vale in May 2008. He was previously with Hereford United and helped them gain promotion to League One in 2007/08. He made 32 appearances for the Bulls scoring 1 goal. He was previously with Huddersfield Town and had a short spell on loan at Torquay. League appearances for Port Vale: 29(1), Goals: 2.

Sam Stockley is a player that Barnet fans know well. He made nearly 200 first team appearances for Barnet between 1996 and 2001 after arriving from Southampton. He left following the club's relegation from the league and signed for Oxford United. Stockley subsequently made over 100 appearances for Colchester United before moving to Wycombe Wanderers in 2006. Strikers:

Luke Rodgers started his career at Shrewsbury where he helped them win promotion from the Nationwide Conference in 2004.
