Defenders:
Andrew Nicholas joined the club from Swindon Town in the summer of 2008. He made over 100 appearances for the Robins and also had a loan spell at Chester City. League Appearances for Rotherham: 19, Goals: 1.
Mark Lynch joined the Millers in the summer of 2008 after being released by Yeovil Town. He has also played for Manchester United, Sunderland, Hull city and St. Johnstone. League Appearances for Rotherham: 7(1), Goals: 2.
Marc Joseph is a much travelled defender who also signed in the summer of 2007, from Blackpool. Joseph has also played for Peterborough, Hull City and Cambridge United. League Appearances for Rotherham: 44(13), Goals: 4.
Nick Fenton began his career at Manchester City but moved to Notts County in 2000. While at City, he had loan spells at Bournemouth and County. He made over 150 league appearances at County before joining Doncaster in 2004 and then moving to Grimsby in 2006. Stephen Brogan is a 20 year old who is a product of the youth system and he has made over 50 appearances for the first team and scored 4 goals. He is currently out with a broken leg. League Appearances for Rotherham: 47(8), Goals: 3.

Jason Taylor joined Rotherham in January 2009 from Stockport County. He began his career at Oldham but first got regular first team football when he moved to Stockport, where he made over 100 league appearances for County. League Appearances for Rotherham: 7(3).
Peter Holmes began his career at Sheffield Wednesday, but didn't make the first team at Hillsborough. He joined Luton in 2000 and made 67 league starts and another 38 appearances as a substitute in nearly 7 years at Luton, scoring 11 goals. He had loan spells at Chesterfield and Lincoln while with the Hatters before joining Rotherham in June 2007. He had a loan spell at York City last season. Michael Cummins joined the club from Darlington in the summer of 2008. He began his career with Middlesbrough before joining Port Vale in 2000 and he went on to make 253 league appearances for Vale, scoring 31 goals. He moved to Darlington in 2006. League Appearances for Rotherham: 28(4), Goals: 4.
Dale Tonge was a summer signing in 2007 who arrived from Barnsley where he made 47 appearances for the League One side. Tonge can also play at right back. League Appearances for Rotherham: 63(6), Goals: 1.
Danny Harrison was signed in the summer of 2007 from Tranmere Rovers where he made over 100 appearances in six seasons. League Appearances for Rotherham: 66(5), Goals: 5.
Mark Hudson began his career at Middlesborough before moving to Chesterfield in 2003 having had a loan spell at Saltergate the previous year. He moved to Huddersfield in 2005 and then joined the Millers in the summer of 2007. League Appearances for Rotherham: 60(7), Goals: 13.

Andy Todd joined the Millers in July 2007 from Accrington Stanley where he played in the Conference championship season of 2006/07, scoring 11 goals for the club. Before that he had played mainly around the non league scene for clubs such as Eastwood, Ilkeston, Hucknall and Burton. League Appearances for Rotherham: 11(3).
Strikers:
Richie Barker joined the Millers on loan in October 2008 from Hartlepool. Barker started his career at Sheffield Wednesday, though he failed to make the first team at Hillsborough, but had loan spells at Doncaster and Irish club, Ards. In 1998 he moved to another Irish club, Linfield, but then joined Brighton in 1997 for whom he scored 21 league goals in 96 appearances. He joined Macclesfield in 1999, scoring 23 goals in 58 appearances before moving to Rotherham in 2001. He was in and out of the first team at Millmoor and joined Mansfield in 2004 where he had a very successful spell scoring 40 goals in just over 2 years at Field Mill before moving to Hartlepool in 2007 for £80,000. Drewe Broughton joined the Millers during the summer of 2008 following a trial period. Broughton began his career at Norwich City before moving to Brentford for £100,000 in 1998 but never broke through into the first team there and made another £100,000 move to Peterborough soon after. He scored 8 goals in 19 league starts for the Posh but was sent on loan to Nuneaton, Stevenage, Dagenham & Redbridge and Kidderminster before joining Kidderminster in 2001. He scored 19 goals in 2 ½ years there before joining Southend United in 2003. While at Southend he had loan spells at Rushden and Wycombe before joining Rushden in 2005 and playing in the side that were relegated in 2006. He then joined Chester but spent most of 2006/07 at Boston United scoring 8 goals for the Pilgrims but couldn't save them from being relegated to the Conference. In the summer of 2007 he joined MK Dons but again spent a lot of last season on loan this time at Wrexham who also lost their league status and were relegated to the Conference. Tom Cahill was signed from Matlock Town in 2007 and has had a loan spell at Altrincham last season. He is currently on loan at Ilkeston Town. League Appearances for Rotherham: 6(2)
Mark Burchill Joined Rotherham in June 2008 from Scottish club, Dunfermline. He scored 31 goals in 99 appearances for the club. He scored 15 goals for them last season. He has also played for Hearts, Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and Birmingham amongst others. He had a short spell at Rotherham on loan in 2004. Reuben Reid is a former Plymouth Argyle player who never really broke into the Brentford side and has had loan spells at Torquay, Rochdale, Kidderminster and Wycombe. He was also on loan last season at Plymouth and Wycombe. He made 1 start and another 9 appearnces as a substitute for Brentford, scoring 1 goal. He joined the Millers in July 2008 after impressing in pre-season friendlies while on trial at Rotherham. League Appearances for Rotherham: 31(3), Goals: 17.
