Goalkeepers:

Chris Neal joined Shrewsbury in July 2009 from Preston. He has had loan spells at Morecambe, Tamworth and at Shrewsbury, where he was on loan in 2006. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 1.

Glyn Garner is a former Bury keeper, who joined Town in the summer 0f 2008 from Leyton Orient where he had been a first team regular the last two seasons. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 45

Defenders:

Dean Holden joined Shrewsbury from Falkirk in the summer of 2009. He began his career at Bolton before joining Oldham in 2002 after having been on loan with the Latics. He moved to Peterborough in 2005 and two years later joined Falkirk. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 1.

Graham Coughlan is a 33 year old centre back and another much travelled player, who signed in the summer of 2008 from Rotherham. He has played for Blackburn, Burnley, Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth, for whom he made over 200 appearances. He made 49 appearances for Rotherham scoring 1 goal. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 46, Goals: 4.

Shane Cansdell-Sherriff joined the club in the summer of 2008. He has also played for Rochdale, Tranmere and AGF Aarhus. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 28(4), Goals: 2.

Kelvin Langmead was formally with Preston and was converted from a striker to a central defender. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 167(21), Goals: 16.

Michael Jackson joined Shrewsbury in June 2008 after being released by Blackpool. He is an experienced player who made over 250 appearances for Preston in over 7 years at the club. He has also played for Crewe, Tranmere and Bury. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 21, Goals: 2.

Midfield:

Jake Simpson is a young player who joined from Blackburn and made his debut on the opening day of the season against Burton Albion where he came on as a substitute. League Appearances for Shrewsbury: 0(1).

Joss Labadie joined Shrewsbury on loan this summer from WBA. He had a short spell with the Shrews on loan last season. League Appearances for Shrewsbury: 2.

 

Paul Murray joined the Shrews from Gretna in the summer of 2009. He previously played for Carlisle, Oldham, QPR and Southampton. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 35(1), Goals: 2.

Steven Leslie is a young player who is a product of the youth system at Shrewsbury. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 23(28), Goals: 1.

Kevin McIntyre is an experienced former Chester and Macclesfield player, who signed in the January 2008 transfer window. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 51(1), Goals: 3.

Craig Disley joined Shrewsbury from Bristol Rovers in May 2009. He began his career at Mansfield where he made 141 league appearances, scoring 16 goals. He joined Bristol Rovers in 2004 and scored 25 goals in over 200 league appearances for Rovers before being released at the end of last season. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 1.

Terry Dunfield joined the Shrews in the January 2009 transfer window and could make his debut at Underhill. Dunfield is a former Bury player who was out of the game for two years with a serious injury before joining Macclesfield last summer. League Appearances for Shrewsbury: 15(3).

Dave Hibbert is a former Preston player, who joined in the summer of 2007. He had loan spells at Rotherham and Bradford. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 46(22), Goals: 16.

Lewis Neal joined Shrewsbury from Carlisle in July 2009. He formerly played for Stoke City.

Jake Robinson joined Shrewsbury from Brighton in June 2009. He scored 13 league goals in 123 league appearances for Brighton. He had a loan spell at Aldershot in 2005 scoring 4 Conference goals in 8 matches and had another loan spell with the Shots last season, scoring 4 goals in 19 matches. Omer Riza joined Shrewsbury in 2009 from Trabzonspor. He has also played for Arsenal and Cambridge United and was on loan at Barnet in season 2000/01. League Appearances for Shrewsbury: 1(5).

Nathan Elder joined the Shrews from Brentford in August 2009. He helped the Bees win the League Two title in 2008/09. He scored 10 goals in 44 league appearances at Brentford after joining them from Brighton in 2008. League appearances for Shrewsbury: 1.
