Barnet maintained their hold at the top of the Conference table with a seven point lead over second placed Bristol Rovers after a less than convincing win over play-off contenders, Woking. New loan signing from Southend, Conor Clifford was named amongst the substitutes.
Barnet took the lead on 28 minutes after John AKINDE was brought down in the penalty area by Joe McNerney who was red carded for preventing a goal scoring opportunity. Akinde scored comfortably from the spot despite efforts from the angry Woking supporters to put him off by pulling on the goal net.
The Bees went 2-0 up early in the second half when Jones, under pressure from Akinde, heavily over hit a pass back to former Bee, Jake Cole and the ball went in off of the far post. Despite this cushion and the fact that they were playing against 10 men, Barnet looked far from convincing and the home side became very nervy after Odubade pulled a goal back for the visitors on 79 minutes. However, the home side hung on for their second successive home win.
