Barnet maintained their place at the top of the Conference with a 5-0 win over struggling Altrincham. Martin Allen made changes from the midweek defeat at home to Wrexham, resting Lee Cook and Sam Togwell.Allen brought in Adam Mekki and Sam Muggleton and moved Elliott Johnson into midfield with Jon Nurse continuing up front alongside John Akinde. New loan signing from Yeovil Town, Sam Hoskins was on the bench.
Barnet took the lead on 13 minutes when LUISMA VILLA scored from 20 yards -, his well struck volley finding the bottom corner of the net.just before the half hour, John AKINDE was caught by Altrincham goalkeeper, Parton and the referee awarded a penalty with the Bees' striker placing his shot into the bottom right hand corner.
Just before half time, Barnet were awarded a second penalty when Adam Mekki was fouled by Leather and AKINDE scored his second goal, placing his shot the same way and Parton going the wrong way. There was still time for another goal in time added on at the end of the first half. Jon Nurse, who had provided the assist for Luisma's opener, set up AKINDE who finished well to complete a first half hat trick for the Bees to take his tally up to 6 for the season.

At half time, Sam Togwell replaced Bondz N'Gala who had received a knock and soon after the restart, Sam Hoskins replaced Akinde to make his Bees' debut. On 49 minutes, HOSKINS scored with his first touch as a Barnet player, taking a pass from Sam Muggleton and hitting a left footed shot from inside the penalty area into the bottom left hand corner.
Altrincham were spared any more punishment as Barnet saw out the rest of the game to win their 8th game out of 11 this season. Next Saturday, the Conference league leaders are at Forest Green Rovers.
