Bees held to draw by late equaliser

Barnet were held to a 1-1 draw at home to fellow league Two strugglers, Torquay United after Lee Sawyer had put the home side ahead in the 14th minute with his first goal for the Bees.

Bees' manager, Ian Hendon brought Ismail Yakubu back into the side in the centre of the defence, with Joe Devera moving to right back, while John O'Flynn started up front with Paul Furlong.

Yakubu lasted less than four minutes of the game, going off with a spasm in his back. Ryan O'Neill came on as substitute, setling in at right back with Devera moved to centre back.

Ten minutes later, Sawyer hit a fine shot on the volley past Poke, the torquay keeper, after a cross from John O'Flynn. However, Barnet failed to add to their lead and, in the second half, were put under a lot of pressure by the Gulls who equalised with six minutes left through Torquay's on loan striker, Scott Rendell.

In the end, another disappointing result for the Bees who have still not won in the league since October.
