Barnet went two points clear at the top of the Conference table with an emphatic 3-0 win at the Crabble on Wednesday night. Martin Allen brought back Elliott Johnson at left back in place of Jack Saville and Luisma Villa replaced Luke Gambin in midfield.

Dover almost went ahead on 13 minutes but Graham Stack got just enough of a hand on Stefan Payne’s shot for the ball to trickle just wide of the post. Four minutes later, Barnet went ahead when LUISMA VILLA smartly headed home Elliott Johnson’s cross into the corner of the net.

There was a blow for the Bees on 40 minutes when captain, Charlie MacDonald had to go off with suspected knee ligament problems. He was replaced by Luke Gambin and four minutes later, GAMBIN put the Bees 2-0 up sliding home a superb ball from Lee Cook from close range.

Barnet went further ahead just past the hour when GAMBIN scored his second clipping home his second of the night following another excellent Johnson cross. Late on in the game, Dover were unlucky to have shots come back off the crossbar, but the Bees comfortably saw the match out. On Saturday, Barnet travel to Telford.
