Barnet were looking tonight for their fifth consecutive league victory and Uli Landvreugh made a few changes from the side that won at Wrexham with Mauro Vilhete, Ahmed Abdulla and Keiron Cadogan starting and Keanu Marsh-Brown and Elliott Johnson on the bench while Charlie Adams missed out through injury.
Barnet made a stunning start by taking the lead in the first minute when Keiron Cadogan crossed for Mark BYRNE to drive home from the centre of the penalty area to put the Bees ahead. On 23 minutes, Jake Hyde got a knock and was replaced by Keanu Marsh-Brown.
Three minutes before half time, another Cadogan cross was headed home by Dani LOPEZ to put the Bees 2-0 up. Just on half time Marsh-Brown had a shot saved.

Cutis Weston and Keanu Marsh-Brown had late attempts at goal as Barnet looked to be comfortably hanging on but the Bees had a scare in time added on when Marcus Kelly pulled one back for Forest Green but Barnet hung on to recode their fifth consecutive league win and go above Alfreton into 3rd place, just a point behind second placed, Cambridge United who lost at Braintree. Barnet’s brilliant run has meant that they are now 4 points ahead of the 6th placed side, Nuneaton and with a much better goal difference. With two winnable home games against Woking and Gateshead coming up, the Bees have the perfect opportunity to establish their play off credentials even further. It’s now 5 wins out of 5 for Uli and Dick!!!
