Barnet went down to their second league defeat in a row, losing to Lincolnshire bogey team, Grimsby Town after taking the lead. Martin Allen named new signing from Kidderminster, Michael Gash, amongst the substitutes.
The Bees got off to a fine start when after five minutes, John AKINDE was put through by Lee Cook and broke into the penalty area only to be brought down Nsiala and the referee pointed to the spot and the Bees leading scorer neatly placed his shot in the right hand corner to put Barnet ahead but this was as good as it got for the Bees.
Goals by Palmer and John-Lewis, from the penalty spot, put the Mariners ahead by the 15th minute and Mackreth sealed the win for the home side with a third goal early in the second half. The defeat cut Barnet's lead to five points at the top of the Conference table.
