Barnet manager, Ian Hendon, gave loan signing, Ed Upson his first start in place of captain, Micah Hyde, while Kenny Gillet was preferred at centre back to Clovis Kamdjo. Paul Furlong continued up front in the continued absence, through injury, of top scorer, John O’Flynn.
After a quiet start to the first half, the home side took the lead through midfield player, James McQuilkin on the half hour, shooting across Jake Cole to put the Bulls ahead. Soon after, Albert Adomah appeared to be brought down in the penalty area but nothing was given. Adomah also had a shot that went just wide.
Shortly before half time, the Bees drew level when an Albert Jarrett cross was played into his own net by Bulls’ defender, Richard Rose.

The second half was fairly even until 20 minutes from the end when Gary Breen scored the second own goal of the game, putting Hereford 2-1 up. Barnet tried to get back in the game bringing on Ben Wright, David Livermore and Danny Hart but were unable to gat an equaliser. Next up are Chesterfield at Underhill on Monday.
