Luton town completed a festive double over the Bees on New Years Day with another 2-1 win in a game that should never have started such was the condition of the Kenilworth Road pitch.
Luton took the lead on just two minutes with another Andre Gray goal and Paul Benson put the Hatters 2-0 up just after the half hour. In between, Graham stack had had to leave the field and was replaced by Nick Jupp for his first senior appearance for the Bees. Once again, Barnet were 2-0 down to Luton at half time.
HT: Hatters 2 Bees 0
As on Boxing Day, Barnet improved in the second half, possibly getting the hang of the pitch a bit more and on 71 minutes, Jake HYDE pulled a goal back from a Marsh-Brown
Cross and the Bees may have felt they were a bit unlucky to have lost both the matches against Luton over the Christmas period. The three defeats over Christmas saw the Bees drop from 4th to 9th in the table.
