Barnet midfield star Nicky Bailey earned the Bees a vital point with a late goal against fellow strugglers Macclesfield.
It was the Cheshire side's fourth consecutive draw and the third game running that they had conceded a lead. Macclesfield dominated the open exchanges and might have scored in the sixth minute when Jonathan Parkin set up Kevin McIntyre only for the midfielder to scuff his shot wide.
Moments later Parkin then sent a 30-yard lob volley inches past the post. They took the lead in the 18th minute when full back Kevin Sandwith let flight from 30 yards, his shot dipping in and beating the dive of Ross Flitney.
Macclesfield were convinced they had a penalty in the thirty minute when Ian Hendon appeared to rustle down Parkin only for the referee to wave away the protests.
Barnet hardly had a chance all half - going close when Giuliano Grazioli picked out Alan Fettis with a 15-yard shot.
Macclesfield should have extended their lead after the break. Paul Harsley sprinting past the cover but then crossing the ball of Ross Flitney with both McIntyre and Clyde Wijnhard awaiting for a simple cross.
Parkin was the next to waste a golden opportunity when blasting over the bar over fifteen yards after he was put in the clear by a clever Paul Harsley pass.
The Cheshire side then sat back allowing Barnet to throw men forward however they did not look like scoring until sub Louis Soares picked out the unmarked Bailey who planted a header into the roof of the net from eight yards. They might even have stolen a late winner as Giuliano Grazioli was given another free header but he could only pick out keeper Fetis from close range.
