After Saturday’s fine 3-0 home win over Chester on the opening day of the season, the Bees travelled on Tuesday night to Tamworth who won 1-0 on Saturday away at Salisbury. It was the first meeting between the two clubs since December 2004 when Tamworth surprised the Conference league leaders by winning 3-0 at Underhill. Of course, Barnet went on to win the 2004/05 Conference Championship and gain promotion back to the Football League.

The match was a close affair and both sides had chances with Luke Gambin, Jake Hyde and Mark Byrne going close for the Bees, while Curtis Weston had an early effort disallowed for handball. The match ended goalless with both clubs unbeaten and not having conceded a goal.
