Woking 1 Barnet 1

Last updated : 24 November 2014 By Jaybee

Barnet travelled to third placed Woking and returned with a well earned point and with other results going their way, the Bees are now 9 points clear at the top of the Conference. Barnet went ahead in only the second minute when a cross from Elliott Johnson was put through his own goal by Mike Cestor with Luisma Villa lurking. Barnet were the better of the two side in the first half with Luisma often at the heart of things and lead 1-0 at the break but Woking clawed their way back into the match when Cestor scored from close range on 57 minutes. Just prior to the goal, Graham Stack had made a superb save from a close range header from Woking substitute, Jones.

Barnet should have had a penalty soon after when Charlie MacDonald was clattered by former Barnet keeper, Jake Cole but the referee waved play on. The ball fell to Luisma but his shot from close range was blocked and cleared. Barnet seemed to settle for a draw, which many fans would probably have taken before the match. Barnet travel to another tricky away game on Tuesday to Bristol Rovers.
