Barnet won their fourth successive league game in a row and the fourth under new manager, Uli Landvreugd. The win took the Bees up to 4th in the table. With Luisma injured and Mauro Vilhete not 100% fit, Elliot Johnson and Kieron Cadogan returned to the side and Charlie Adams came in too for Dani Lopez who dropped to the bench. There was a place on the bench too for Roberto Casabella.
Wrexham had the better of the first match in a game partly dominated by the strong winds but the Bees began to take control as the second half wore on and Jake Hyde was unlucky not to score when he had a deft backheel cleared off of the line. However, he was not to be denied and with just over 10 minutes remaining, Andy Yiadom got clear on the right hand side of the penalty area and crossed low into the box for Jake HYDE to clip home past the Wrexham keeper to give the Bees the lead which they held on to despite five minutes extra time being added on. Hyde’s goal was very similar to the winning goal he scored at home to Grimsby in midweek.
The win took the Bees back into the play offs and a win on Tuesday at Forest Green would take the Bees above Alfreton and up to 3rd.
