Albert Jarrett is set to join League Two rivals, Lincoln City after agreeing a one year contract with the Imps. Jarrett joined Barnet last summer from Gillingham, where he played under Bees’ manager, Mark Stimson, and made 45 appearances for Barnet scoring two goals, including the winner at home to Rochdale on the last day of the season that clinched Barnet’s safety from relegation to the Blue Square Premier.
Many fans were surprised and disappointed that Jarrett was released at the end of last season having been consistently one of the club’s best performers and having been voted Barnet’s most improved player of the season by the fans.
