Barnet have signed striker, Aaron McLean on a short term contract. McLean, who is 32, began his career at Leyton Orient where his first team appearances were largely confined to coming on as a substitute. He subsequently moved into non-league football with first, Aldershot and then Grays where he scored 23 goals in 46 starts and in 2006, he joined Peterborough for ₤150,000 after a short loan spell at London Road.
At Peterborough, McLean scored 78 goals in 174 appearances over nearly 4 years and moved to Hull City at the end of 2010, but he was not so prolific at the KC stadium being loaned out to Ipswich Town and Birmingham before he joined Bradford City at the beginning of 2014, scoring 7 goals in 37 appearances for the Bantams but also having a spell back at Peterborough on loan. McLean was released by BradfordCity in the summer.
Barnet Mad welcomes Aaron to the club and hopes he is successful in his time at the Hive.
