Barnet today signed Port Vale midfield player, Tommy Fraser. Fraser, who will wear the number 28 shirt, has made 20 first team appearances for Vale this season but lost his place in the side following the departure of manager, Micky Adams to Sheffield United.

The 23 year old midfield player has signed a two and a half year contract with the Bees and will be available for the away trip to Macclesfield Town on Saturday and could make a quick return to Vale Park next Tuesday when the Bees travel to Burslem for a re-arranged League Two match.

Fraser began his career at Brighton as a youngster and made over 100 first team appearances for the Seagulls scoring 3 goals before joining Port Vale in June 2009. He made over 60 appearances for Vale scoring 2 goals and was made captain on his arrival at Vale Park. Fraser was sent off in last season’s fixture at Underhill.

I’m sure that everyone at Barnet will welcome Tommy and wish him every success at Underhill.
