Former Barnet star, Ben Strevens has left Dagenham & Redbridge to join Brentford, who finished last season as League Two champions. Strevens, who has signed for the other Bees along with Daggers' team mates, Danny Foster and Sam Saunders, will now get the chance to play at League One level for the first time in his career.

Strevens joined Barnet in 1999 from Wingate & Finchley and made 193 league performances for the Bees, scoring 42 goals. The most important of these was probably the equalizer against Halifax Town at Underhill in April 2005, which clinched promotion back to League Two for the Bees. Strevens was the only member of the conference winning team to have also been at the club when Barnet were relegated to the Conference in 2001, although he didn't play in the game against Torquay that Barnet lost 3-2 and which sent the Bees down. Strevens also played in the historic 3rd round, Carling Cup match against Manchester United at Old Trafford which Barnet lost 4-1.

Strevens was released by Barnet at the end of the 2005/06 season and joined Crawley Town. He joined Dagenham & Redbridge in December 2006 and helped the Daggers win the Conference title in 2007, his second Conference winners' medal. He scored 34 goals in 111 league appearances for Dagenham.
