Barnet have signed Peterborough United striker, Ben Wright, on loan until 20th April. Wright, no relation to the Macclesfield Town player who was on trial at Barnet a couple of years ago, is 21 and 6ft 2” and joined Peterborough from Hampton & Richmond in 2008.
Wright has found it difficult to make an impact at London Road and has been restricted to 17 appearances for the Posh, scoring twice. He has had loan spells at Kettering, Grimsby and Luton.
Manager, Ian Hendon, decided to sign Wright after hearing that Paul Furlong would be out for another two weeks. Following the departure of Elliott Charles, and with Cliff Akurang and Luke Medley out on loan, Barnet have been very short on strikers and Wright could be just the man to get on to the end of some of those Albert Jarrett and Albert Adomah crosses!!
Wright will be available for the match at Underhill on Saturday against Accrington Stanley.
