Former Barnet striker, Anthony Thomas has joined Blue Square South newcomers, Farnborough from Hemel Hempstead Town. Thomas joined Barnet from Hemel Hempstead in the summer of 2007 after impressing then Barnet manager, Paul Fairclough while playing in the 2007 Herts Senior Cup Final against the Bees, which Barnet won 4-2. Thomas made 14 league starts plus another 12 appearances as a substitute for the Bees and scored 4 goals. His best remembered goal was the equalizer at Dagenham & Redbridge when his powerful shot broke the net. Thomas was released at the end of the 2007/08 season and signed for Stevenage Borough but left them in 2008 to return to Hemel Hempstead.
Meanwhile, Aswad Thomas who made 3 appearances for the Bees while on loan from Charlton last season, has joined Woking, who will also be playing in the Blue Square South having been relegated from the Blue Square Premier last season.
