Barnet today signed the highly experienced Luton Town striker, Kevin Gallen on loan until 8th January. Gallen’s arrival at Underhill gives the Bees an experienced and proven striker in the continued absence of Steve Kabba and Izale McLeod not being fit enough yet to start for the Bees.
The 35 year old, Gallen began his career at QPR where he scored 36 goals in 172 league appearances. He left Shepherds Bush in 2000 and had short spells at Huddersfield and Barnsley before returning to QPR a year later. He scored 54 goals in 194 league appearances in his second spell at Loftus Road before moving to MK Dons in 2007. He also had a loan spell at Plymouth, playing in the FA Cup 4th round win over Barnet at Underhill in 2006/07. He moved to Luton last year after a short loan spell and has scored 19 goals in 67 league appearance so far for the Hatters.
I’m sure that all Bees’ fans will welcome Kevin to Underhill and Barnet Mad wishes him a successful stay at Barnet.
