Joe O'Cearuill joins Forest Green Rovers

Former Bees' defender, Joe O'Cearuill has joined Forest Green Rovers and will be in their squad to play Mansfield Town tomorrow. O'Cearuill has been playing for Ryman League club, Boreham Wood having previously played this season for Harlow Town. The former Republic of Ireland international left Barnet in 2008 for Irish club, St Patrick's Athletic.

O'Cearuill, who has two full caps and nine under 21 caps for Ireland, joined Barnet in 2007 from Arsenal and also had a loan spell at Brighton prior to arriving at Underhill. Joe made 11 first team starts, plus another 7 appearances as a substitute for the Bees and scored the winning penalty in the 3rd Round FA Cup victory over Swindon Town in 2008.

 

O'Cearuill played for the Harlow Town in the friendly with a Barnet XI in September, which the Bees won 2-0 with goals from Nicky Deverdics and Elliott Charles

 

 

Meanwhile, Charles, who was sent off while playing for Ebbsfleet on loan last weekend, has returned to Underhill after having his loan cut short.
